It was only later that I traced its origin: a grotesquely paradoxical campaign, a semiotic loop poised to collapse in on itself. By appropriating that signal, recoded by the hyperstition, I generated an antinomy capable of cracking the wear and tear of postmodern life. Thus was born the idea: “Ceci n’est pas un autocollant”, in an imaginary partnership with Magritte. “This is not a sticker”, it’s a provocation!

We live immersed in a world built on illusion: synthetic emotions in the form of pills, propaganda in the form of advertisements, brainwashing in the form of mass media. We are prisoners of glass bubbles we call social networks, while we try in vain to throw the ever-growing trash of the human condition into the trash can.

Surveillance capitalism is the latest mutation of an oppressive apparatus that devours life itself. A system that appropriates human experience, fractures it, encodes it, and transforms it into data-commodity—fuel for the relentless cycle of extraction and consumption. A self-replicating, ruthless, and unstoppable machine that metabolizes every fragment of existence to reinforce the asymmetrical domination of the few over the many: an intentional sabotage of the natural principles of mutual support, whose sole ultimate goal is the necrotic accumulation of power.
